Crystal Spheres and Scrying

Most everybody is familiar with the fortune teller looking into her crystal ball and seeing the future. The ability to divine the nature of future events by staring into a crystal ball is called scrying. Nostradamus himself was said to use scrying as his preferred method of divination. But what is so special about a crystal ball that lends itself to scrying?

Crystal spheres come in many varieties. There are spheres cut out of almost every conceivable stone available today. From Quartz and Amethyst to Obsidian and even Hematite, there is no end to the available spheres one can collect for crystal healing or to use as seer stones. Spheres offer a unique energy that opens up the consciousness to other realms.

The round shape of the sphere mimics nature's habit of creating balls of matter out of everything from atoms, to planets, and even stars, nature loves spheres. So is it any wonder that the seer divines future events by gazing at the images he sees inside the clearest quartz spheres. If you want to give it a shot here is a technique that is said to bring good results.

1. Obtain a very clear natural Quartz sphere from a reputable dealer. It is best to use natural crystal spheres, as they posses a certain energy that isn't found in most lab grown crystal spheres.

2. Find a dimly lit room and place one or more of your crystal spheres on a level table with a dark cloth covering the opposite side of the sphere.

3. Begin softly gazing at the sphere, and let the scrying begin. Allow all of your thoughts to just come as a flow and do not attempt to control your mind, just allow the images to form in your minds eye, they may appear on the crystal like a television screen or in your own mind.

4. Scrying requires patience and an open mind so take your time and do it as often as you feel called to. Like any muscle, intuition needs to be exercised to become a source of clear focused energy.
